System Data Entry
There are two methods for data entry, using a Customer Administration Terminal (CAT) or a Maintenance Administration Terminal (MAT).
CAT
Any Dterm can be assigned as a CAT through programming. The Dterm can still be used as a regular telephone when it is not in CAT mode.
MAT

Trouble Reporting and Diagnosis
The urgency of a fault is indicated by the MJ/MN lamp provided on the Power Card and optional external alarm indicator.
System Administration
System data, which varies from installation to installation and which is subject to continual change during service, is readily entered or changed from the Dterm or MAT (Maintenance Administration Terminal).
The system data can be downloaded to, or uploaded from, a floppy disk in the MAT computer.
Remote Maintenance
Access to the NEAX 2000 IPS, for the purpose of system diagnosis, status reporting, and database reconfiguration, can be performed from remote locations (e.g., Maintenance Centers, Technical Assistance Service Centers, etc.). By taking advantage of the
