Image Sharpening

Press MENU button in (auto shooting) mode to select Image sharpening ( 74), and then press .

The camera automatically processes pictures to em- phasize the borders between light and dark areas of the picture, making edges seem sharper.

The Shooting Menu

Select from the following five options and press .

Option	Description
Auto	Camera sharpens edges for optimal results; amount
(default setting)	of sharpening varies from shot to shot.
High	Pictures processed to increase sharpness, making
	edges more distinct.
Normal	Camera performs same standard level of sharpening
	on all images.
Low	Sharpening reduced below normal level.
Off	No sharpening performed. Suitable for pictures that
	will later be retouched on a computer.

Image Sharpening Effects

Can not be previewed in the monitor. You can view the results in the playback mode.

Image Sharpening

Unless the setting is Auto, the image-sharpening icon appears in the monitor.
