Choose the length of the shutter release delay in self-timer

mode (055).

Choose how long the camera will wait for a signal from the

remote before cancelling delayed or quick-response remote

mode and restoring single-frame or continuous mode (056).

Choose shorter times for longer battery life.

If On is selected, a beep will sound when the camera focuses in

single-servo AF (AF-S or when shooting stationary subjects in

AF-A focus mode), while the release timer is counting down in

self-timer and delayed remote modes (053, 55), or when a

photograph is taken in quick-response remote mode (055).

The beep will not sound when Off is selected.

The current setting is shown in the information display: 3 is

displayed when the beep is on, 2 when it is off.

Approved Memory Cards The following SD memory cards have been tested and approved for use in the D3000. All cards of the designated make and capacity can be used, regardless of speed.
