Connecting to a Computer

This section describes how to connect the camera to a computer using the supplied UC-E4 USB cable. Once the camera is connected, Nikon Transfer (supplied) or optional Nikon software such as Camera Control Pro 2 can be used to copy photographs to the computer or control the camera remotely.

DConnecting Cables

Q Be sure the camera is off when connecting or disconnecting interface cables. Do not use force or attempt to insert the connectors at an angle.

ACamera Control Pro 2

Camera Control Pro 2 (available separately; pg. 391) can be used to control the camera from a computer. Before connecting the camera, set the camera [USB] option (pg. 257) to [MTP/PTP]. When Camera Control Pro 2 is running, “c” will be displayed in the top control panel.
