Taking Pictures for Food Mode

Use this mode when taking pictures of food.

1Press Ain shooting mode to display the

shooting-mode selection menu and use the multi selector to select uFood (A 33).

The macro mode (A 31) will turn ON and the zoom will automatically move to the closest possible shooting position.

2Press the multi selector Hor Ito adjust the

color if necessary.

You can adjust the hues to compensate for changes in

 

the subject’s color caused by the surrounding lighting.

 

Press H to increase the amount of red, or I to increase

 

the amount of blue.

3 Frame the picture.

The camera can focus on objects as close as about 5 cm (2 in.) at the widest zoom position, and as close as about 7

cm (2.8 in.) at the position where Gis displayed. The camera focuses on the subject in the center of the

frame. Use focus lock to frame the picture on an object 4 not in the center of the frame (A 27).

4Press the shutter-release button to

shoot.

Pressing the shutter-release button halfway

 

locks the focus, and pressing the shutter-

 

release button the rest of the way down takes

 

the picture.

When the camera is unable to focus, the focus

area will blink. Change the composition and try pressing the shutter-release button halfway again.

The flash is disabled. The macro mode (A 31) will be locked to ON.

Hue settings that are adjusted in food mode are saved in the camera’s memory even after the

 

camera is turned off, and are used the next time food mode is selected.
