Protect selected pictures from accidental deletion. You can turn protection on and off for images selected in the picture selection screen. ➝ “Selecting Multiple Pictures” (A80)
Note, however, that formatting the camera’s internal memory or the memory card will permanently erase protected files (A98).
Protected pictures are recognized by the sicon (A7, 46) in playback mode.
