DVibration Reduction
Vibration reduction (A105), when On (default setting) is selected, can be applied to effectively reduce blur, caused by slight hand movement known as camera shake, that commonly occurs when shooting with zoom applied or at slow shutter speeds.
Set Vibration reduction to Off when using a tripod to stabilize the camera during shooting.
To reduce the effects of camera shake when recording movies, enable Electronic VR (A56) from the movie menu (A55).
DShutter Speed and Aperture
Shutter speed and aperture settings, adjusted by the camera to suit shooting conditions, are displayed.
In M (manual) mode (A44), shutter speed and aperture can be specified manually.
