A password can be applied to prevent access to wireless network information entered in the camera, including the network profiles and recipient e- mail addresses, by third parties if the camera should be lost or stolen, or otherwise compromised. In addition, all camera settings can be restored to their default settings and data stored in the camera’s internal memory can be deleted before the camera is transferred to another owner or discarded.

Applying a Password

Follow the procedure described below to apply a password with the camera. When a password is applied, the correct password must be entered to use COOLPIX CONNECT services.

1 Select [Password] from the [Wireless set-
	Wireless settings
tings] option in the camera’s setup menu	Network profile

2 Select [Set/change password] and press

	Delete password
3 Specify a password or edit the current
	New password
password.
If a password has not been applied, enter a password		1	2	3	4
in the new password screen and press the shutter-
release button. The password should consist of four	Confirm
numbers.

To edit the password, enter the current password in
the current password screen and press the shutter-
	Current password
release button. When the new password screen is dis-
played, enter a new password and press the shutter-
		1	2	3	4
release button.
When a password is entered, the re-enter password
screen will be displayed for confirming the password.	Confirm
Enter the correct password again and press the shut-	Back
