7 Remove the installer CD from the CD-ROM drive.

kUninstalling the Utility

•Windows: Select [Start] > [All Programs] > [COOLPIX CONNECT Utility] > [COOLPIX CON- NECT Utility Uninstall] and follow the on-screen instructions to complete uninstallation.

•Macintosh: Open [Application] > [Nikon Software] > [COOLPIX CONNECT Utility], double- click the [COOLPIX CONNECT Utility Uninstaller] icon, and follow the on-screen instructions to complete uninstallation.

Connecting the Camera to the Computer

1 Check that the correct USB option is selected with the camera, that the battery is fully charged, and then turn off the camera.

Confirm the following before connecting the camera to the computer. Once these issues have been confirmed, turn off the camera.

•[Interface] > [USB] (c 120) is set to [PTP].

•The battery is fully charged. If the battery is exhausted while configuring a profile, settings will not be entered correctly.

2 Connect the camera to the computer with the supplied audio video/USB cable.

The computer must be equipped with a built-in USB port.
