If the power comes on, but the phone does not work:

you may be out of the cellular service area (as denoted by the NO SERVICE message or NO SVC indicator being displayed).

make sure the antenna is fully extended.

When you disconnect the power cord of any accessory, grasp and pull the plug, not the cord.
