6Basic functions

•MAKING A CALL

1Key in the phone number, including the area code. If you key in an

incorrect character, press or to move the cursor and Clear to delete the character to the left of the cursor.

To make an international call: Press twice for the + character (replaces the international access code) and key in the country code, area code (omit the leading one, if necessary) and phone number.

2Press to call the number.

To adjust the volume: Use the volume keys on the side of the phone. Press the upper key to increase or the lower key to decrease the volume.

To use the phone hands free: See Using the loudspeaker. See also Options during a call.

3Press to end the call or to cancel the call attempt.

Calling a phone number saved in contacts

Press or in standby mode. Key in the first letters of the name that has been saved with the phone number. Scroll to the name with

or . To view the default phone number saved with the name, press

Details or press and hold . Press to make the call.

Calling a recently dialed number

In standby mode, press once to view up to 20 numbers you have last called or attempted to call. Scroll to the desired number or name, and

press to call the number.

To call the last dialed number, press twice in standby mode.

Calling your voice mailbox

To call your voice mailbox (network service) in standby mode, press and

hold , or press and .

If the phone asks for the voice mailbox number, key it in and press OK. See also Voice messages.
