About the Memory Effect
•If the battery is repeatedly charged before it has fully discharged, the operating time possible for each charge will gradually be reduced. This is known as the “memory effect” and is normal for nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries. It does not indicate a battery error or malfunction.
•If the operating time for each charge become reduced, fully charge the battery and operate the device until the unit stops operating (rather then when the charge indicator lights) two or three times in a row. This should restore the battery capacity to normal. If the battery capacity does still not return to normal, replace the battery with a new one.
