Perform digital recording to record the signal input to the optical digital input terminal of the CDR- 201A. The track numbers are recorded as is from the input source. The recording level can be adjusted manually.

Types of digital source that can be recorded

The CDR-201A contains an internal sampling rate converter, and therefore can record digital signals of the sampling rates given below.

44.1 kHz (CDs, etc.)

32 kHz (DAT, satellite broadcasts, etc.)

48 kHz (DAT, satellite broadcasts, etc.)

Notes:

When performing digital recording with an HDCD, use the procedure given on this page or that given for signal synchronous recording or synchronous recording. Also, make sure the recording level is set to 0 decibels (see page 24). Since the recording level is set automatically (DLA) during CD dubbing with the CD dubbing button, the recording will not be performed properly.

You cannot perform digital recording from a

DTS CD.

Preparation

Turn on the CDR-201A (see page 20).

Place a recordable CD-R or CD-RW in the CDR- 201A (see page 20).

Verify that the input dial and recording selection button of the amplifier are set to the position of the recording source.
