Speaker Setup
You need to set up the speaker configuration for the speaker system connected to the FRONT SPEAKERS A connectors.
Notes
•Speaker setup cannot be done if;
–Headphones are connected, or
–The FRONT SPEAKERS B system is On (see page 31).
•It is not necessary to set the parameters again once you have completed the setup unless you change the speaker configuration.
Before operating the remote controller
Press MODE RCVR/VCR.
RCVR /VCR
The remote controller remains in the RCVR/VCR mode, until another MODE button is pressed.

The normal display resumes in three seconds.
Speaker configuration indicator in the lower right corner shows the current speaker configuration.
Note
•To check the present setting while the normal display is displayed, press SP SETUP once. To change the setting, press the button repeatedly within three seconds.

Speaker Position
Input format
Output format
Speaker Position: Indicates the position of a selected channel.
Input format: Lights when a signal is input for that channel.
Output format: Lights when a signal is output for that channel.
Pressing the button repeatedly within three seconds changes the number of channels as follows (the corresponding speaker configuration is described in parentheses):

Remote controller
SW MODE
Press SW MODE on the remote controller.
SW indicator lights up when SW Mode 1, SW Mode 2 or SW Mode 3 is selected.
With the first press of the button, you can check the present setting. Then each press of the button changes the subwoofer mode as follows (a tip on how to select the right subwoofer mode is in parentheses):
