Using Composite Video

Use a composite video cable to connect the AV Receiver’s VIDEO MONITOR OUT to a composite video input on your TV, as shown.

The following connections will allow you to listen to audio from your TV via the AV Receiver.

If your TV has no audio outputs, connect the AV Receiver to your VCR and use its tuner (see page 24).

Initially, the OPTICAL 2 digital input is assigned to the VIDEO 2 input source. If you connect to a differ- ent digital audio input or only to an analog input, you’ll need to assign it to the VIDEO 2 input source (see page 31).

Using S-Video

Use an S-Video cable to connect the AV Receiver’s

S VIDEO MONITOR OUT to an S-Video input on your TV, as shown.

Use an optical digital audio cable to connect the AV Receiver’s DIGITAL IN OPTICAL 2 to the optical output on your TV, as shown.

OR

Use a coaxial digital audio cable to connect the AV Receiver’s DIGITAL IN COAXIAL to the coaxial

output on your TV, as shown.

Using Analog Connections

If your TV doesn’t have digital audio outputs, or you want to record from it, you’ll need to make the following analog audio connections.

Use an analog audio cable to connect the AV Receiver’s VIDEO 2 IN L/R inputs to the analog audio outputs on your TV, as shown.
