GENERAL OPERATION

OPERATING TEMPERATURE

This trimmer/edger is designed to operate within a temperature range of 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F).

GRIP

The front handle on the trimmer/edger handle is adjustable. You can move the handle forward or backward along the shaft until it is in a comfortable position for trimming, clearing, or edging.

Loosen the adjustment knob until the front handle slides along the shaft, move the handle to a comfortable position, and then tighten the adjustment knob (Fig. 13).

When using the trimmer/edger, grip both the front and rear handles firmly.

FOOTING

Stand or walk with both feet on solid ground. Do not overreach.

STOPPING THE TRIMMER/EDGER

Release the throttle trigger to stop the trimmer/edger.

STARTING THE TRIMMER/EDGER

Grasp the front and rear handles firmly. Squeeze the trigger lock-out (1), then squeeze the throttle trigger (2) until the trimmer head moves at the desired speed (Fig. 14).
