The computer does not resume
zIf you slide and hold the power switch for four seconds or longer, the power will be turned off forcibly and the computer will
not resume. In this case, all unsaved data will be lost.
zYou disconnected the AC adaptor and the battery pack while the computer was in standby mode. If the computer’s power
supply is disconnected in standby mode, unsaved data will be lost and the computer will not resume.
zThe battery is exhausted. Standby and hibernation consume some power.
When resuming from the standby or hibernation, [Enter Password] does not
appear
zEven when a password has been set in the [Security] menu of the Setup Utility, and [Password on boot] is set to [Enabled],
[Enter Password] does not appear when the computer resumes from the standby or hibernation.
Set the Windows password with the following procedure, and make input of the Windows password required.
AClick the account to change in [start] - [Control Panel] - [User Accounts] and set the password.
BAdd the check mark for [Prompt for password when computer resumes from standby] in [Control Panel] -
[Performance and Maintenance] - [Power Options] - [Advanced].
The date and time are incorrect
zClick [start] - [Control Panel] - [Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options] - [Date and Time], and correct the date and
time.
zIf you continue to experience problems, the internal battery maintaining the clock may need to be replaced. Contact your
technical support office.
zWhen the computer is connected to a LAN, confirm the date and time of the server.
zThis computer will not correctly recognize the date and time starting from the year 2100 A.D.

When you logged on Windows, an Internet Explorer script error message is
displayed
zClick to close the displayed window. Close all other windows displayed after that by clicking on . This phenomenon
occurs during logon when is touched with the stylus.
zDuring the logon process, try not to touch with the stylus.
