Conditions under which a different folder number is used

When recording under the following conditions, new picture files will be recorded to a folder with a different number than the pictures recorded immediately before.

1When the folder just recorded to contains a picture file with the number 999 in it (example: P1000999.JPG).

2When the card just recorded to contains a folder with the number 100 in it (example: 100_PANA) and that card is removed and replaced with a card that has a folder with the number 100 in it recorded by a different maker’s camera (example: 100_XXXXX, with XXXXX being the maker name) and recording is commenced. (When a card is inserted that contains a folder with the same number, regardless of the maker.)

3When recording after selecting [NO.RESET] from the [SETUP] menu. (Pictures will be recorded to a new folder with a number sequential to the folder recorded to immediately before. By using [NO.RESET] on a card that does not contain folders or pictures, such as one just formatted, the folder number can be reset to 100.)

Image data of up to 999 pictures recorded by the camera can be included in 1 folder. If the number of picture data exceeds 999, another folder will be created.

When you reset the file number or the folder number, select [NO.RESET] in the [SETUP] menu. (P22)
