The shutter speed and aperture value are set automatically according to the brightness of the subject. The combination of the shutter speed and aperture value is the same as that of the AUTO mode (P29), but the settings listed below are also available. (It is not possible to set in AUTO mode)

3Press 3/4 to select [AE MODE].

4Press 2/1 to set to [P].

The menu will disappear.

6Take a picture.

• The recording method is the same as in “Taking Pictures (AUTO Mode)”. (P29)

When taking pictures in dark places, as the exposure time becomes longer and it is difficult to stabilize the camera, the use of a tripod is recommended.

If the aperture value is not properly set, the color of the F and the shutter speed values on the LCD monitor becomes red.
