Auto White Balance is designed to automatically adjust the camera to produce natural flesh tones. In most situations it works fine. In some situations where several different types of lighting are present, enhanced performance can be achieved by setting the white balance manually.
[Preparation]
•Set the operational mode dial and REC mode dial. (P25)
1Press the [MENU] button.
2Press 3/4 to select [W.BALANCE].
3Press 2/1 to select the mode.
•AUTO: if the auto white balance is set
• (Daylight): for recording outdoors on a bright day
• (Cloudy): for recording under
cloudy and shady sky
• (Halogen): for recording under halogen lighting
• (Fluorescent): for recording under fluorescent lighting
• (Flash): for taking a picture with flash light only
• (White set): for manual setting (Read the following page where the manual setting is explained in detail)
4Press the [MENU] button.
•The menu will disappear.
5Take a picture.
• The recording method is the same as in “Taking Pictures (AUTO Mode)”. (P29)
•In AUTO [ ], portrait [
], landscape [
], sports [
] or night portrait [
] mode, the white balance is set to [AUTO].
