Advanced (Recording pictures)

[REC] mode:

Taking Pictures using the Built-in Flash

ATo open the flash B To close the flash

Press the flash until it clicks.

Be sure to close the flash when not in use.

The flash setting is fixed to [Œ] while the flash is closed.

Note

Be careful not to catch a finger when closing a flash bulb.

Switching to the appropriate flash setting

Applicable modes:

Set the built-in flash to match the recording.

Open the flash.

Select [FLASH] in the [REC] mode menu. (P28)

Press 3/4 to select a mode and press [MENU/SET].

For information about flash settings that can be selected, refer to Available flash settings by recording mode. (P60)

Press [MENU/SET] to close the menu.

You can also press the shutter button halfway to close the menu.
