[ZOOM MODE]

Set the maximum zoom ratio for the Motion Picture Recording Mode.

[i.Zoom OFF]:

Up to 37k

[i.Zoom 42k]:

This zoom function allows you to maintain high-definition

 

picture quality. (Up to 42k)

[D.Zoom 90k]:

Digital zoom (Up to 90k)

[D.Zoom 2000k]:

Digital zoom (Up to 2000k)

 

 

The larger the digital zoom magnification, the more the image quality is degraded.

This function cannot be used in Still Picture Recording Mode.

[REC MODE]

Switch the quality and recording format of the motion picture to record.

MENU : [RECORD SETUP] # [REC MODE] # desired setting

[HA]/[HG]/[HX]/[HE]*1: Set the recording mode to AVCHD.

[iFrame]*2:

Set the recording mode to iFrame.

*1 Recording will have higher quality in the order of [HA], [HG], [HX], and [HE].

*2 [iFrame] is a format suitable for Mac (iMovie’11). It is recommended for when using a Mac.

Recordable time using the battery (l22)

This function’s default setting is [HG] mode.

Please refer to page 141 about approximate recordable time.

When the unit is moved a lot or moved quickly, or when a fast-moving subject is recorded (particularly when recording in [HE] mode), mosaic-type noise may appear at playback.
