Sending Faxes

Sending a fax using the One-Touch Dial
1Open the document feeder tray.
2Adjust the width of the document guides to the size
of the document.
3Insert the document (up to 15 pages) FACE DOWN
until a single beep is heard and the unit grabs the
document.
Display:
4If necessary, press repeatedly to
select the desired setting (p. 44).
5For stations 1–3
Press the desired One-Touch Dial key.
For stations 4–6
Press , then press the desired
One-Touch Dial key.
Example:
●The unit will start transmission.

Before using this feature, program the desired names and fax numbers into the One-Touch Dial (p. 38).
Helpful hints:
●You can confirm the stored items on the display (p. 42)
or on the telephone number list (p. 127).
●You can use the EASYDIAL directory to select the
station name instead of using the One-Touch Dial
keys. Rotate until the desired name is
displayed, then press .
●The connecting tone will be heard during dialing to tell
you the status of the other party’s machine (p. 57).

Fax auto redial
If the line is busy or there is no answer, the
unit will automatically redial the number up to
5 times.
●This feature is also available for;
— sending a fax using the EASYDIAL
directory (p. 46).
— delayed transmission (p. 51).
●During redial, the following will be displayed.

●To cancel redialing, press .

If your unit does not send a fax
Verify that the number dialed is answered by the
other party’s machine.
1. Lift the handset.
2. For stations 1–3
Press the desired One-Touch Dial key.
For stations 4–6
Press , then press the desired
