(IN USE icon) functions as follows.
When “ ” (clock icon) flashes, the clock needs adjusting (p. 16).
“” (directory icon) is displayed when storing, viewing, copying or receiving
the directory items (p. 30–35).
“PRIVACY” indicates Call Privacy mode is on (p. 41). Other extension users
cannot join your conversation.
The display shows the dialed number, call status, programming options,
directory items, Caller ID information etc. The time and date are displayed on
the base unit.
“” (extension icon) is displayed with the extension numbers
a) during an intercom call (p. 36) or a conference call (p. 40);
b) while monitoring a room (p. 42);
c) while in 2-Way Radio mode (p. 44).
“SP” is shown when you are using the handset speaker
a) during an intercom call (p. 36) or a conference call (p. 40);
b) while monitoring a room (p. 42);
c) while in 2-Way Radio mode (p. 44).
The battery icon indicates the battery strength (p. 11).
The extension number of your cordless handset is displayed if it has been
registered to the base unit (p. 20, 55).
The prompts on the bottom line will show corresponding functions of the soft
keys which are located directly below the display (p. 8).
Ex. The soft key below “ will function as key.

Backlit LCD displays

The lighted display of the cordless handset will stay on for a few seconds after
pressing a button or lifting the cordless handset off the charger.
The base unit display will light during use.

Base unit Cordless handset

Off (invisible) The line is free.
On The line is being used.
Flashing A call is on hold within this system (cordless handset or
base unit).
Flashing quickly A call is being received.
