Multi-unit Operation

Intercom

Intercom calls can be made:

–between handsets

–between the handset and base unit (KX-TG6051/KX-TG6052/ KX-TG6053/KX-TG6054)

Note:

LIf you receive an outside call while talking on the intercom, you hear 2 tones. To answer the call, press {OFF}, then press {C}.

LWhen paging a unit for an intercom call, the paged unit beeps for 1 minute.

Making an intercom call

Handset

1{INTERCOM}

2{V}/{^}: Select the desired unit. i

{Select}

LTo stop paging, press {OFF}.

3When you finish talking, press

{OFF}.

Base unit

KX-TG6051/KX-TG6052/KX-TG6053/ KX-TG6054

1{INTERCOM}

LAll the registered handsets beep for 1 minute.

LTo stop paging, press

{INTERCOM}.

2When you finish talking, press

{INTERCOM}.

Answering an intercom call

Handset

1Press {C} or {s} to answer the page.

2When you finish talking, press

{OFF}.

Base unit

KX-TG6051/KX-TG6052/KX-TG6053/ KX-TG6054

1Press {INTERCOM} to answer the page.

2When you finish talking, press

{INTERCOM}.

Note:

LWhen the ringer volume is set to off, the handset or the base unit rings at a low level for intercom calls.

Handset locator

You can locate a misplaced handset by paging it.

1Base unit: {LOCATOR}

LThe handset beeps for 1 minute.

2To stop paging:

Base unit:

Press {LOCATOR}.

Handset: KX-TG6021/KX-TG6022/ KX-TG6023

Press {OFF}.

KX-TG6051/KX-TG6052/ KX-TG6053/KX-TG6054 Press {INTERCOM}, then press
