Using sound effects
		Enhancing the sound	[HT545] [HT545W]
	DVD	from the center speaker:
		Center Focus
		This applies to discs where the dialogue is recorded in the center
		channel.
		You can make the sound of the center speaker seem
	VOLUME	[HT545]
		Press and hold [—C.FOCUS].
		Each time you press and hold the button:

Using
	Changing the sound quality:
	Sound Field Control

Press [SFC].

Each time you press the button:

FLAT: Cancel (no effect is added) (factory preset).

MOVIE: Use this mode when playing movie software.

SPORT: Simulates sound to make you feel like you are at a sports event.

MUSIC: Adds surround effects to stereo sources.

HEAVY: Adds punch to rock.

CLEAR: Clarifies higher sounds.

SOFT: For background music.

≥To check the current setting, press [SFC].

≥MOVIE, SPORT and MUSIC are not available when Dolby Pro Logic II is on, or when playing a disc recorded with a multi-channel source.

≥You can adjust the volume of the surround speakers to get the best surround effect (➜ page 29, Adjusting the volume of each speaker: Speaker level adjustments).

≥When MOVIE, SPORT or MUSIC is turned on, you can enjoy audio from your television in 5.1-channel surround sound (➜ page 31).

Enhancing the stereo sound:

Dolby Pro Logic II

Except [DivX]

Dolby Pro Logic II is an advanced decoder that derives 5-channel surround (Left and Right Front, Center, Left and Right Surround) from stereo sound sources, whether or not it has been specifically Dolby Surround encoded.

Press [ÎPLII].

Each time you press the button:

Movie:	Movie software, recorded in Dolby Surround.			PL PRG
				DDTS
Music:	Stereo sources		CD		MODE
Off:	Cancel		DVD		RDS
		PTY PS AAC

≥This works only in DVD/CD mode.

≥“ÎPLII” lights when there is effect.

Adjusting the amount of bass:

Subwoofer level

You can adjust the amount of bass. The unit automatically selects the most suitable setting according to the type of playing source.

Press [SUBWOOFER LEVEL].
