SDR-H200:

You can zoom in up to 10k optically.

SDR-H20/SDR-H18:

You can zoom in up to 32k optically.

When zooming in while holding this unit by hand, we recommend using the image stabilizer function. (l 54)

When distant subjects are brought closer, they are focused at about 1 m (3.3 feet) (SDR-H200)/1.3 m (4.3 feet) (SDR-H20/ SDR-H18) or more.

When the zoom magnification is 1k, this unit can focus on a subject approx. 3.5 cm (1.4z)

(SDR-H200)/2 cm (0.8z) (SDR-H20/SDR-H18) away from the lens. (Macro function)

The zoom speed varies depending on the range over which the zoom lever is moved. (The zoom speed does not vary when operating with the remote control.)

When the zoom speed is high, the subject may not be focused easily.

If you take your finger off the zoom lever during zoom operation, the operation sound may be recorded. When returning the zoom lever to the original position, move it quietly.

Digital zoom function

If the zoom magnification exceeds 10k (SDR-H200)/32k (SDR-H20/SDR-H18), then the digital zoom function will be activated. The maximum magnification provided by the digital zoom can be switched.

Press the MENU button, then select [ADVANCED] # [D.ZOOM] # desired item and press the joystick.

SDR-H200:

[OFF]: Optical zoom only (Up to 10k)

[25k]: Up to 25k

[700k]: Up to 700k

If [25k] or [700k] is selected, the digital zoom range is displayed in blue while zooming.

SDR-H20/SDR-H18:

[OFF]: Optical zoom only (Up to 32k)

[50k]: Up to 50k

[1000k]: Up to 1000k

If [50k] or [1000k] is selected, the digital zoom range is displayed in blue while zooming.

The larger the digital zoom magnification, the more the image quality is degraded.
