What is Q-- Link ?
Q-- Link allows directcommunication between the TV and a Q-- Link (or Q-- Link compatible) VCR, this will enable features such as
downloading of tuning information from theTV to theV CR.

When using a “NEXTVIEWLINKVCR the main features possible are the

ollowing :
DPreset Download -- Downloading of tuning information from the TV to the VCR.
DDirectTV Record -- For immediate recording of the curren t program (What You See Is What You Record).
When using a “Q-- Link” VCR the main features possible are the following :
DPreset Download -- Downloading of tuning information from the TV to the VCR.
DDirectTV Record -- For immediate recording of the curren t program (What You See Is What You Record).
DTV/VCR Auto Power On -- When the VCR plays a tape the TV will automatically switch On and select the AV2 input.
DVCR AutoPower Standby -- When the TV is switched into Standby, the VCR will also switch into Stand by.
DVCR Image view On -- If the TV is in Standby mode and the VCR sends a menu to be displayed on the TV screen
(e.g. Main menu), the TV will automaticallyswitch On and the menu will be displayed.
This TV will also communicate with other VCR’s th at bear the following logos :
D“DATA LOGIC” (a trademark of Metz Corporation).
D“Easy Link” (a trademark of Philips Corporation).
D“Megalogic” (a trademark of Grundig Corporation).
D“SMARTLINK” (atradem ark of Sony Corporation).
These VCR’s may support some or all of theabove f unctions.Refer to the VCR operating instruction book.

In order for Q-- Link to function correctly, the Scart cables mustb e connectedin a certain way, dependent on whether the TV
is being connected to a VCR (option 3, below) or to a VCR and Satellite Receiver (option 4, overleaf).
Scart Connection
DThe VCR must be connected to the AV2 Scart socketof this TV using a ’fully wired’Scart cable.
Note :
If usinga “Q-- Link” V CR then the AV1 Scartof the V CR must be connectedto the AV2 socket of the TV. If your VCR is not a“Q-- Lin k”
VCR, please consult your VCR operat ing instruction book.
RF Connection
DConnect the RF cable to the Aerial In socket of the VCR and an RF cable from the VCR Aerial Out socket to the TV Aerial
socket ( ).
