Format (initialize) an SDHC/SD memory card

To copy recorded images onto an SDHC/SD memory card, it is necessary in advance to insert an SDHC/SD memory card into the card slot of the recorder and format it. To delete recorded images on the SDHC/SD mem- ory card, format the SDHC/SD memory card again.

Important:

When an SDHC/SD memory card is formatted, all recorded images and setup data on the SDHC/SD memo- ry card will be deleted. It is impossible to recover the deleted images and setup data.

It is impossible to copy record images onto an SDHC/SD memory card formatted on a PC. Format the

SDHC/SD memory card on the recorder.

Step 1

Display the [Disk] tab. (Pages 71 - 72)

Step 2

Move the cursor onto the [Execute] button of "SD card format", and then press the [SET] button.

Step 3

Move the cursor onto [OK], and then press the [SET] button.

Formatting of the SDHC/SD memory card will start and the format progress window will be dis- played. When completing the format, the format completion window will be displayed.

Important:

Do not turn off the power of the recorder in the process of formatting.

The confirmation window will be displayed.
