Setting a Password
In addition to establishing access security on a port
(refer to the previous section, Establishing Access
Security on a Port), the password itself is set. Unless you
specify otherwise, the password is null.
"Procedure
To set a password:
1. From the Main Menu screen, select Control.
The Control screen appears.
2. From the Control screen, select Administer
Password.
The Password Entry screen appears (Figure G-9).
This screen is used to add a new password or
modify an existing password.
3. Enter a new password in the Password field.
The password may be 1 to 8 characters long and
may contain the characters 0 through 9, a
through z, and/or A through Z.
4. Use the Re-Enter Password field to verify the new
password.
5. Select Save.
Once a password is saved, the Login Records Saved
message appears at the bottom of the screen.
