REMOTE RECORDING
This function lets you control the start and end of recording from a remote location. The
VCR starts recording when the REC IN terminal is grounded. Refer to Figure 5 for the
remote recording connection.
An index signal is not recorded during remote recording.
Series and timer recording cannot be used simultaneously with remote recording.
1. Press the MENU button. The Main menu appears.
2. Turn the JOG dial to select REAR TERMINAL, and then turn the SHUTTLE ring right.
The Rear Terminal menu appears.
3. Set REC IN to REC-START/STOP.
4. Press the MENU button. The day and time display appears.
ONE-SHOT/INTERVAL RECORDING
One-shot recording lets you control the number of fields to be recorded when the REC
button is pressed or the REC IN terminal is grounded. Interval recording is made at the
selected number of fields and at the selected interval.
1. Press the REC/PLAY MODE button on the front panel to set the recording mode to 0H.
2. Press the MENU button. The Main menu appears.
3. Turn the JOG dial to select RECORDING SET UP, and then turn the SHUTTLE ring
right. The Recording Set Up menu appears.
4. Turn the JOG dial to select ONE SHOT•FIELD, and then turn the SHUTTLE ring right.
5. Turn the JOG dial to select the number of fields to record, and then turn the SHUTTLE
ring right.
6. Turn the JOG dial to select ONE SHOT•INTERVAL, and then turn the SHUTTLE ring
right.
7. Do one of the following:
If setting up one-shot recording:
Turn the JOG dial to select SHOT, and then turn the SHUTTLE ring right.
If setting up interval recording:
Turn the JOG dial to select the recording interval, and then turn the SHUTTLE
ring right.
8. Press the REC button. One of the following will occur:
One-shot recording will be in standby mode.
The VCR starts interval recording with the interval time you chose in step 7.
9. To start one-shot recording, press the REC button again or switch the REC IN terminal
on the rear panel to the ground.
