You can change the captured area by turning the zoom lever left or right.

•The flash does not discharge while recording a movie.
•The autofocus system does not operate while recording a movie.
•You can use the optical zoom only before recording, while the Digital Zoom is available both before and during recording.
•Recording does not start while a menu screen is being displayed or in the playback mode even if the C button is pressed.
•Even if Face Detection is set to [Smile], movie recording does not start with the Smile Capture function.
•You can use the optional remote control (p.93) to record movies while you are away from the camera.
To Keep the C Button Pressed
If you keep the C button pressed for more than one second, recording will continue as long as you keep the button pressed. Shooting stops when you take your finger off the C button.
