6Formatting an SD Memory Card / MultiMediaCard

Editing/Settings

Formatting will delete all the data on the SD Memory Card/ MultiMediaCard.

• Do not open the card cover while the SD Memory Card / MultiMediaCard is being formatted. The card may be damaged and become unusable.

•SD Memory Cards/MultiMediaCards formatted on a PC or device other than the camera cannot be used. Be sure to format the card with the camera.

•Please note that formatting will delete protected images as well.

1 Select [Format] on the [BSet-up] menu. 2 Press the four-way controller (5).

The format screen is displayed.

3 Select [Format] with the four-way controller (2). 4 Press the OK button.

Formatting begins. When formatting is complete, the camera is ready to take a picture.
