Introduction

Perle SMI Media Converters provide seamless high-speed managed integration of Ethernet to Fiber networks.

Overview

This guide contains instructions necessary for the installation and operation of the Perle SMI Media Converter. This Media Converter consists of the MCR200 chassis, a MCR-MGT Management Module and one Media Converter Module.

The fiber connection can be either single mode (SM) or multimode (MM) and can operate over different wavelengths and distances, depending on the model selected (see table below).
