La orden “Quieto”

1.Coloque a su mascota otro collar (no metálico) de manera que quede por ENCIMA del collar receptor. Ate a este nuevo collar una correa de 3 metros. Nota: asegúrese de que el collar adicional no presione los puntos de contacto.

2.Identifique visualmente dónde quiere que se siente la mascota. Para ello coloque su cesta o un pedazo de tela grande en el suelo.

3.Ponga a la mascota en su cesta. Sujete la correa con una mano y el transmisor con la otra.

4.Dé una vuelta alrededor de la cesta manteniéndose aproximadamente a un metro distancia. No diga nada a la mascota.

5.Si intenta salir de la cesta, mantenga pulsado el botón lateral para que el aparato emita una señal acústica y déle la orden “Quieto”. Si es necesario, condúzcale de nuevo a la cesta.

6.Suelte el botón lateral tan pronto como la mascota regrese a la cesta y felicítela efusivamente.

7.Una vez se haya quedado quieta, permita que se mueva y juegue con ella con calma.

8.Repita varias veces los pasos 3 a 7.

9.Si la mascota se queda quieta siempre que recibe la orden “Quieto” y oye la señal acústica, el adiestramiento ha terminado. Permita que la mascota se mueva y felicítela. De lo contrario, vaya al Paso 10.

10.Ponga a la mascota en su cesta y camine alrededor de ella como antes.

11.Espere a que trate de salir de la cesta. Con el selector en el nivel de respuesta, mantenga pulsado el botón superior para emitir una señal acústica y un estímulo a la mascota mientras le da la orden “Quieto”. Si es necesario, guíela de vuelta hacia la cesta.

12.Suelte el botón superior tan pronto como la mascota regrese a la cesta y felicítela efusivamente.

13.Una vez se haya quedado quieta, permita que se mueva y juegue con ella calmamente.

14.Repita varias veces los pasos del 10 a 13.

15.Si su mascota se queda quieta siempre que oye la señal acústica, recibe el estímulo y la orden “Quieto”, puede que ya esté preparada para responder adecuadamente sin necesidad de recurrir al estímulo. Juegue un rato con la mascota y luego repita el ejercicio a partir del Paso 3 utilizando sólo la señal acústica.
