A valle

Si intende la direzione del flusso di dati provenienti dal computer principale (host). Una porta di un hub viene considerata " a valle" (downstream), quando si trova nella posizione più distante possibile dal computer che genera il flusso di dati. Una porta "a valle" riceve dati originati "a monte".

Si intende la direzione del flusso di dati verso il computer principale (host). Una porta di un hub viene considerato "a monte" (upstream), quando si trova nella posizione più vicina possibile al computer che genera il flusso di dati. Una porta "a monte" riceve dati originati "a valle".
