one wider than th e other. A grounding ty pe plug has two
blades and third g rounding prong. The w ide blade or third
prong are provided fo r your safety. When t he provided
plug does not fit int o your outlet, co nsult an electr ician
for replacemen t of the obsolete ou tlet.
Protect the powe r cord from being walke d on or pinched
particular ly at plugs, conven ience receptacl es, and the
point where they e xit from the appar atus.
Only use attac hments/acce ssories specifi ed by the
manufacture r.
Use only with a car t, stand, tr ipod, bracket , or
table specifi ed by the manufact urer, or sold with
the apparatu s. When a cart is use d, use caution
when moving the c art/appar atus combinati on to avoid
injury from tip -over.
Unplug this app aratus during li ghtning storm s or when
unused for long pe riods of time.
Refer all servic ing to qualified se rvice personn el. Servicing
is required when t he apparatus ha s been damaged in a ny
way, such as power-su pply cord or plug is da maged, liquid
has been spille d or objects have fa llen into appara tus, the
apparatus ha s been exposed to r ain or moisture, do es not
operate norma lly, or has been drop ped.
This product may co ntain lead and mer cury. Disposal of

Damage Requiri ng Service - The ap pliance should be
serviced by qua lified service pe rsonnel when:
A. The power supp ly cord or the plug has b een damaged;
B. Objects have f allen, or liquid h as been spilled in to the
appliance;
C. The applian ce has been expose d to rain
D. The appliance do es not appear to op erate normally o r
exhibits a mar ked change in perf ormance;
E. The applian ce has been droppe d, or the enclosur e
damaged.
Tilt/St ability - All te levisions must com ply with
recommended in ternational gl obal safety st andards for tilt
and stabilit y properties of i ts cabinet desig n.
• Do not compromise t hese design sta ndards by applyin g
excessive pull for ce to the front, or t op, of the cabinet
which could ulti mately overtur n the product.
• Also, do not enda nger yourself, or ch ildren, by placin g
electronic eq uipment/toy s on the top of the cab inet. Such
items could unsu spectingly f all from the top of the s et and
cause product da mage and/or pe rsonal injury.
Wall or Ceiling Moun ting - The applian ce should be
mounted to a wall o r ceiling only as rec ommended by the
manufacture r.
Power Lines - An outd oor antenna shoul d be located
away from power lines .
Outdoor Anten na Grounding - If an ou tside antenna i s
connected to th e receiver, be sure the ant enna system is
grounded so as to prov ide some protect ion against volt age
surges and built u p static charge s.
Section 810 of the Na tional Electr ic Code, ANSI /NFPA
No. 70-1984, provid es information w ith respect to pro per
grounding of the m ast and support ing structure , grounding
of the lead-in wi re to an antenna dis charge unit, si ze of
grounding conne ctors, locati on of antenna-d ischarge unit ,
connection to g rounding electr odes, and require ments for
the grounding el ectrode. See Fig ure below.
Object and Liqu id Entry - Care sho uld be taken so
that objects d o not fall and liquid s are not spilled int o the
enclosure throu gh openings.
Battery Usa ge CAUTION - To prevent bat tery leakage
that may result in b odily injury, prop erty damage , or
damage to the un it:
• Install all bat teries correc tly, with + and - align ed as
marked on the unit .
• Do not mix batter ies (old and new or car bon and
alkaline, et c.).
• Remove batterie s when the unit is no t used for a long
time.
