Loud speakers, unearthed audio devices,
neon lights, hi gh buildings and other lar ge
objects can in uence reception quali ty.
If possible, tr y to improve the receptio n
quality by changi ng the antenna direct ion
or moving devices away fr om the TV.
If reception on onl y one channel is poor,
ne tune this channel.
There is poor picture quality from connected
devices:
Check that the dev ices are connected
properly.
Check that the pic ture settings are
correctly s et.

Sound issues

There is picture but no sound from the TV:
Check that all cabl es are properly
connected.
Check that the volum e is not set to 0 or
low.
Check that the soun d is not muted.
There is picture but sound quality is poor:
Check that the soun d settings are
correctly s et.
There is picture but sound comes from one
speaker only:
Verify that soun d balance is set to the center.

7 Troubleshooting
This section describes commonly encountered
issues and accompanying solutions.

General TV issues

The TV does not switch on:
Disconnect the p ower cable from the
power outlet. Wai t for one minute then
reconnect i t.
Check that the power c able is securely
connected.
The remote control is not working properly:
Check that the re mote control batter ies
are correc tly inserted accor ding to the
+/- orie ntation .
Replace the remot e control batteries i f
they are at or weak.
Clean the remote co ntrol and TV sens or lens.
The standby light on the TV blinks red:
Disconnect the p ower cable from the
power outlet. Wai t until the TV cools
down before recon necting the power
cable. If the bli nking reoccurs, cont act
Philips Consumer C are.
When turning the TV on/off/to standby, you
hear a creaking sound from the TV chassis:
No action is required. The creaking sound
is normal expan sion and contractio n of
the TV as it cool s and warms up. This
does not impact pe rformance.
Picture issues
The TV is on, but there is no picture:
Check that the ante nna is properly
connected to the T V.
Check that the cor rect device is selec ted
as the TV sour ce.
There is sound but no picture:
Check that the pic ture settings are
correctly s et.
There is poor TV reception from an antenna
connection:
Check that the ante nna is properly
connected to the T V.
