&On the Windows desktop,click Start and select Control Panel.
éIn the Control Panel window,click Network and Internet Connections.
The Network Connections window will open.Double-click on the LAN-connection for this PC .
On the connection status screen,click Properties.
(Double-click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
§If Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically are
selected, your computer is already configured for DHCP/Auto IP. If not,select these options.
Windows 2000
&On the Windows desktop,click Start > Settings > Network and Dial-Up Connections.
éClick the icon that corresponds to the LAN-connection for this PC.
The connection status screen will open.Click Properties.
Double-click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
