Do not insert the power plug in a wall socket be-
fore all connections are made.
Place the TV on a solid surface.
For ventil ation, leave at least 4” to 6” free all around the T V.
Do not plac e the TV on a carpet. To prevent any un safe
situation s, no naked ame sources , such as lig hted candle s,
should be p laced in the vicinity. Avoi d heat, di rect sunligh t and
exposure to rain or water. The equipment shall not be ex-
posed to dr ipping or sp lashing.
Mounting the TV on the wall
This TV set complies with the VESA standard for w all mount-
ing.
Refer to sp ecication page 24 for de tail.
Caution: Instal ling the TV requires sp ecial skill s that shoul d
only be pe rformed by q ualied per sonnel. You sho uld not
attempt t o do the wor k yourself. P hilips bear s no
responsibility for improper mounting or mounting that
results in accident or injury.
Make sure t hat the wal l mount is be ing xed secu rely enough
so that it meets safety standards.

Refer to the bottom of the set (Model label ) for the
correct operation voltage.
Insert t he power cord i nto the wal l socket.
Consult you r local deal er if your m ain power supp ly voltage i s
differen t than that indicated fo r the TV. Neve r place the TV
on top of t he (AC) cord. P lacing the TV on top o f the AC cord
could cause a re or electric shock.
Remote control:
Insert t he two suppl ied AA bat teries.
The batteries supplied do not contain the heavy met als mer-
cury and c admium. Ple ase determi ne and compl y with loca l
regulations when disposing of depleted batteries .
Turn the TV on:
Press the power switch on the sid e of the T V. An
indicator on the front of the TV l ights up.
Press the POWER button on t he remote control.
