Seven colour backlight can only change colour accord- ing to the MIDI melodies embedded in the phone, NOT when playing MIDI files downloaded via the se- rial cable (sold separately as an accessory).

The external screen is contextual, i.e., it displays icons and information according to events. As such, it can display:

Icons Names Description

Battery Indicates battery strength in five levels. The battery icon scrolls when the phone battery is charging.

Alarm Indicates that the alarm

Date and time.

Outgoing/incoming call animation & duration.

Volume bar when setting the volume of call or ra- dio.

Call on Hold when you put a call on hold.

Battery icon with 4 fixed bars when battery is fully charged.

Up to 6 status icons (battery, network, etc.)

Name or number of the calling/called person. Multiparty when a mulit- party call is in progress.

Low battery when the battery needs recharging.

Battery icon scrolling when charging (even when the phone is off).

Clock clock is activated.

Network The network icons indicate that a phone is registered with the network. Signal strength is indicated on both screens. Icons on the left appear on the main dis- play screen, icons on the right appear on the external display.
