Note
If the language you have set is not available on the disc, the disc uses its own default language.
For some discs, the su btitle/aud io language can o nly be changed fr om the disc menu .
[TV Display]
Select a display for mat:
[4:3 Letterbox] – For 4:3 screen T V: wide-scree n display with bla ck bars on the top a nd
bottom of the screen .
[4:3 Panscan] – For 4 :3 screen TV: fu ll-height dis play with the tr immed sides.
[16:9 Widescreen] – For wide- screen TV: dis play picture at r atio 16:9.
[16:9] – For 16:9 screen T V: display pictur e at ratio 4:3 for a di sc with 4:3 rati o, with black
bars on the left and r ight side of the scr een.
[Cinema 21:9] – For wide-sc reen TV of displ ay ratio 21:9, remove bl ack bars at the bot tom
and top of the screen.
Note
If [4:3 Panscan] you have selected is not supported by the dis c, the screen di splays in the [4:3
Letterbox] format.
Help text display is av ailable in all m odes, except
[Cinema 21:9].
Subtitle Shift f unction is ena bled only in
[Cinema 21:9] mode.

[HDMI Video]
Select an HDMI video output resolution that is compatible with your TV display capability.
[Auto] - Detect and sele ct the best sup ported vide o resolution a utomaticall y.
[Native] - Set to original video re solution.
[480i/576i], [480p/576p], [720p], [1080i], [1080p], [1080p/24Hz] - Select a video resolu tion
setting that is bes t supported by t he TV. See the TV m anual for detail s.
Note
If the setting is not compatible with your TV, a blank screen appears. Wait for 10 seconds for auto
recovery, or press re peatedly the HDMI button until the picture appears.
