audio in consumer elec tronics pro ducts and sof tware conten t. It is not develo ped by Dolby Digit al.

High-bandwidt h Digital Cont ent Protectio n. This is a specifi cation that pr ovides a secure
transmission of dig ital contents b etween diffe rent devices (to p revent unauth orized copyrig ht.)
HDMI
High-Definitio n Multimedia I nterface (HD MI) is a high-sp eed digital in terface that c an transmit
uncompressed high d efinition vide o and digital mu ltichannel au dio. It deliver s high qualit y picture
and sound quality, completely free from noise. HDMI is fully backward-compatible with DVI.
As required by the HD MI standar d, connecting t o HDMI or DVI produ cts withou t HDCP
(High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) will result in no Video or Audio output.

Experts Grou p 1 (or MPEG-1) Audio Laye r 3. With the MP3 fo rmat, one CD -R or CD-RW can
contain about 10 times m ore data than a r egular CD.
