NOTE! This copyrig ht does *not* cover user progr ams that use kernel ser vices by normal system c alls - this is
merely conside red normal use of the ke rnel, and does *not * fall under the headi ng of “derived work ”.
Also note that the G PL below is copyrighted by th e Free Software Fou ndation, but the inst ance of code that it
refers to (the li nux kernel) is copyr ighted by me and other s who actually wr ote it.
Also note that the o nly valid version of the G PL as far as the kernel is co ncerned is _this_ par ticular version of
the license (ie v2, no t v2.2 or v3.x or whatever), un less explicitly ot herwise sta ted.
