Set or change the passwo rd for locked discs and
play restricted DV Ds.
1. Press the Numeric buttons to enter ‘136900’ or
the last set passwor d at [Old Password ] field.
2. Enter the new passwor d at [New Password]
field.
3. Enter the new password again at
[Confirm PWD] field.
4. Press OK to exit the menu.
Note
If you forget the pass word, enter ‘13690 0’ before you s et •
a new password.

For some DVDs, the subt itle/audio la nguage can onl y

change from the disc me nu.
To select the languages t hat are not list ed in the menu,

select [Others]. Then check the L anguage Code l ist at
the back of this user manu al and enter the r espective
language code.
[Parental Control]
Restrict access to dis cs that are unsuit able for
children. These ty pes of discs must be reco rded
with ratings.
1. Press OK.
2. Select a rating le vel, then press OK.
3. Press the numeric buttons to enter the
password.
Note
Rated DVDs above the leve l you set in • [Parental
Control] require a password t o be played.
The ratings are coun try-depe ndent. To allow all d iscs to

play, select ‘8’.
Some discs have ratin gs printed on th em but are not
•
recorded with rat ings. This fu nction has no ef fect on
such discs.
[PBC]
Turn on or off the content menu of VC Ds/SVCDs
with PBC (playback cont rol) feature.
• [On] - Display the i ndex menu when you loa d
a disc for play.
• [Off] - S kip the menu and st art play from th e
first track.
[Mp3/Jpeg Nav]
Select to display the fo lders or display all t he files.
• [View Files] - Display all the fil es.
• [View Folders] - Display the folders of MP3/
WMA files.
