Programming a recording (TIMER)

Programming recordings with the VCR Plus+® System

Thanks to this programming system, you no longer need to tediously enter the date, TV channel, start and finish time. All the information needed by the DVD recorder for programming is contained in the PlusCode programming number. This 9-digit PlusCode number is found in most TV listings magazine.

WARNING!

'Programming with the VCR Plus+® system' without TV Guide On Screendata (empty 'LISTINGS' screen) is not possible.

1Switch on the TV set. Select the channel on the DVD recorder (3 or 4).

2Press TIMER s on the remote control. P The current data will appear.

bThe TV Guide On Screensystem was not installed yet. Please refer to the 'Set up the TV Guide On ScreenSystem' section.

3Select 'PlusCode' using B .

4Enter the entire PlusCode number. This number is up to 8 digits long and can be found next to the start time of the TV program in your TV listings magazine.

e.g.: 5-234-89 or 5 234 89

Enter 523489 for the PlusCode number.

If you make a mistake, press A . Select line 'PlusCode' using

B .

5Confirm with OK .

aThe following message appears on the screen: 'PlusCode number wrong'

bThe entered PlusCode number is incorrect. Repeat your entry or cancel using the green function button.

PThe decoded data appears after confirmation.

Changing the start/end times

-Use B or A to select the line (programmed recording) where you want to change the times.

-Press the OK button.

-Select 'Start early by' or 'End late by' using A or B . Enter the information in the line using the 0..9 number buttons on the remote control.

-Confirm with OK .

This takes you back to the listing.

Setting up repeat recordings

You can choose in the row 'Frequency ' from the following settings using the green action button:

'Once': one-time recordings

'Daily': Repeated daily recordings (Monday to Sunday).

'Weekly': Repeated weekly recordings (every week on the same day).

'Off': this will stop any future occurrences of the program from being recorded but will keep the show in the list.

1If all information is correct, press the OK button. The data is stored.

2To end, press TV GUIDE .

If one or more recordings have been programmed 'TIMER' will light up on the display.
