7 Troubleshooting
Warning
Risk of electr ic shock. Neve r remove the cas ing of the player.
To keep the warranty valid, never try to repair the system yourself.
If you encounter problems when using the player, check the following points
before requesting service. If the problem remains unsolved, register your
player and get support at www.philips.com/welcome.
No power
Ensure that both plugs of the mains cord are properly connected.
Ensure that ther e is power at the AC outlet .
Check if the built-in battery is drained.
No sound
Ensure that the AV cabl e is connected corr ectly.
No response to the remote control
Ensure that the pat h between the rem ote control and the playe r is
clear from obstacles.
From a close distan ce, point the remote co ntrol directly a t the player.
Replace the remote co ntrol batteri es.
The function doe s not work for this disc . Refer to the disc
instructions.
Distorted picture
Clean the disc. Wi th a clean, soft, li nt-free cloth, wipe t he disc
outwards from t he center.
Make sure that the vi deo output forma t of the disc is compatibl e with
the TV.
Change the video ou tput format to matc h your TV or progra m.
The LCD is manufactu red using high prec ision technology. You may,
however, see tiny black poin ts and/or bright poi nts(red, blue, gre en)
that continuously appear on the LCD. This is a normal result of the
manufacturi ng process and does not i ndicate a malfunc tion.
