Install the Philips Songbird software

again (after the rst installation)

Important!
The Philips Songbird sof tware installe r is
preloaded to SPARK.
To free memory capacity fo r your media
content on SPARK, the ins taller le is
automatically delete d during the rst
installation proces s.
If you want to install the sof tware any time
after the rst ins tallation, follow thes e
instructions:
1 Connect SPARK to the compu ter.
2 Ensure that the compute r is connected
to the Internet, and t hen open Windows
Expl orer.
3 In Windows Explorer, rig ht click on
SPARK, and then selec t the option to
install Philips Songbird.
The computer downloads the installer »
le from the Internet.
4 Follow the on-screen ins tructions to
complete the installat ion.

Battery level indication

The display indicates the a pproximate levels of
the battery st atus as follows:
100% 75% 50% 25% 0%
A ashing battery screen indicates that »
the battery is low. The player saves
all settings and switches off within 60
seconds.
Note
Rechargeable bat teries have a limited n umber •
of charge cycles. Bat tery life and num ber of
charge cycles vary by u se and settings .
The charging animat ion stops and the •
icon is displayed when the ch arging process is
completed.
Tip
You can conserve batter y power and increas e •
the play time of SPARK if you go to >
[Display Settings] > [Sc reen off timer] and
ensure that the shor test timer set ting is
selected.

SPARK comes with the following software:

rmware of SPARK and tra nsfer your
