charged through the USB port of a computer
(USB cable included).
Note
When you connect SPARK to a co mputer, you •
are briey prompte d to select:
•[Charge & transfer] or [Charge & pl ay].
SPARK automatically a pplies •[Charge &
transfer], if no new selection is made .

Connect SPARK to a computer

1 Con nect the USB plug of the su pplied
USB cable to a spare USB por t on your
compu ter.
2 Con nect the small USB plug of t he USB
cable to the small USB jack on S PARK.
3 Turn on you r computer.
SPARK charges. »

Install Philips Songbird for the rst

time

When you connect SPARK to the P C for the
rst time, a pop-u p window appears:
1 Se lect Install Philips S ongbird.
2 Foll ow the on-screen inst ructions to
complete the installat ion.
Note
The installation r equires you to agre e to the •
license terms.
If the pop-up window is not di splayed
automatically:
1 Se lect My Computer (Wi ndows XP /
Windows 2000) / Compute r (Windows
Vista / Windows 7).
2 Ri ght click on the Philips GoGe ar SPARK
icon.
3 Se lect Install Philips S ongbird (Setup.exe).
4 Foll ow the on-screen inst ructions to
complete the installat ion.
