RU520 er standardindstillet til betjening af TV,VCR og DVD. Med funktionsomskifteren vælger du det apparat, du vil betjene. Med hver valgmulighed kan man betjene ét apparat. Hvis det er ønsket, kan man ændre funktionsomskifterens valgmuligheder, f.eks. fordi du ønsker at betjene et andet fjernsyn. I følgende eksempel kan du se, hvordan du skal konfigurere VCR- og DVD-tilstand for et andet fjernsyn.
